Eye drop solution based on Ectoin 2% and Sodium Hyaluronate 0,1%
PROTECTION DROP is able to protect, stabilize and moisturize the ocular surface in all those cases where the eyes are exposed to sunlight or artificial blue light from video terminals.
PROTECTION DROP is also able to stabilize the tear film thanks to the combination of hyaluronic acid and ectoin, maintaining high water concentrations and preventing dry eye syndrome.
The product can be used with contact lenses.
The product is preservative-free.

Ectoin
Ectoin is an organic molecule produced by some halophilic bacteria capable of surviving in extreme conditions. It is able to protect cells from various stressors, such as free radicals, UV rays, osmotic stress, dehydration, thermal and chemical factors. Ectoin has shown a restorative effect against ultraviolet damage suffered by corneal epithelium cells exposed to sunlight. The mechanism of action exerted by the molecule is that of stabilization of proteins and of the lipid layer of the tear film, maintenance of high concentrations of water and production of proteins that protect against UV damages. Overall, it determines a reduction of the processes of cells degradation
